Shane was born and raised in Hawaii and attended Noelani Elementary School then Stevenson Intermediate before moving to Palm Beach, Florida. Three years after moving to Florida, Shane and his family moved to Denver where he graduated from Riverview Christian Academy then attended Colorado Christian University.
He became a Christian at the age of thirteen and felt the call of God to the ministry a short time afterwards. At the age of eighteen, he became a pastoral intern for Breakthrough Ministries which was the youth and young adult ministry of Orchard Road Christian Center. At the age of twenty, Shane became the Youth Pastor of First Love Christian Church in Denver, Colorado.
For several years, he continued in the ministry in youth pastor and worship pastor positions until he started Vital Signs Ministries (an evangelistic ministry in Denver). He hosted the radio show "Revitalize" and started a worship band that did worship conferences throughout the region where he and his team worshiped and preached the gospel in many different venues.
This worship band eventually became Junker Jorg, a Christian band signed to Youngside Records and known for their commitment to the preaching of the Gospel and the salvation of the lost. Junker Jorg opened for various secular bands and for Christian bands like Skillet, Pillar, and Disciple. The band traveled and played concerts preaching the gospel in 37 states and saw over 5,000 young people receive Christ into their lives.
Shane continues in music leading as the Minister of Music at Central Baptist, a worship recording label in Colorado, and new albums released regularly.
He has also earned Masters Degrees from Whitefield Theological Seminary and Louisiana Baptist University. He did his undergraduate studies in philosophy at the University of London.
Shane has also published a book in 2014 called "The Diner: Why is Church Important?" This is a theological fiction dealing with the tremendous blessings of our church services and how it is vital to our lives. Theological, Ecclesiastical, Philosophical, and Gospel Centric themes set in a fictional futuristic dystopia. Available at amazon.com.
Shane's heart for the ministry is to "make disciples" and to remain committed to the Gospel of Jesus. Regarding the Gospel, he states: "Getting it right then getting it out. Let us never forget that the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation and this is what we preach. To preach the Bible is to preach Christ and to preach Christ is to preach His death and resurrection. Yes, the message is the mission." Shane is married to Jeanine and they have three children, Scott, Sean, and Shannon.
